Our yoga school is located in the very centre of town and well served by all forms of public transport. Less than a 10 minute walk from the station and accessible by the many bus routes that pass our front doors. There are half a dozen car parks all within 3-5 minutes from the studio.
Our building, Huntingdon House, sits on the site of an old church and before we took on the lease, the premise used to be a library. We feel it was always well favoured to be a yoga school. Located on the top floor of a 4 storey building the school has lovely natural light with views North towards New Road, the Theatre Royal, the South Downs and over the Lanes themselves.
Men’s and women’s changing rooms offer plenty of space, as well as lockers, showers, shampoo, hair dryers and all the amenities required to be well prepared before and after class.
Our yoga room is naturally very well lit and provides a welcoming and comfortable space in which our students enjoy taking class together. The room is heated to 40 degrees for class and is well ventilated using a combination of fresh oxygen and recirculated warm air. A humidifier is integrated to create a warm humid atmosphere which further helps to promote a deep cleansing through the skin.
Our Flotex floor provides a clean and safe surface on which to practice. It’s wet-dry vac’d daily and has an anti-microbial treatment that ensures consistent protection against bacteria, further more it’s been awarded the prestigious Allergy UK Seal of Approval.
In addition to the regular schedule of classes we also host a number of events throughout the year. These include monthly posture workshops, talks on health, nutrition & wellbeing, fund raising activities such as our popular ‘Night Fever’ class as well as an annual party that is always well attended.
